Terms and conditions
The short version. Your order is an offer. It becomes a contract when we email you to confirm it. We buy your flowers at market the morning they go out, so the exact stems can change but the size, palette and feeling will not.
Fresh flowers cannot be returned, which is the law, not our policy. But if something arrives in a state it should not be in, tell us and we will put it right.
Who you are contracting with
Hana Blossom Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16550074.
Registered office and studio: Flat 8 Oaks View, Epsom, Surrey, KT19 8NG.
Email: hello@hanablossom.co.uk · Phone: +44 7982 361407
Not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and none is shown.
How the contract is made
- You place an order on the site. That is an offer to buy.
- We show you the total, including delivery, and the delivery date, before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
- We take payment and send an acknowledgement. This confirms we have your order, and it is not yet acceptance.
- The contract exists when we send you the confirmation that your order is going ahead. If we cannot fulfil it, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Keep the confirmation email. It is your record of the contract and it contains everything these terms require us to give you in writing.
Prices
Prices are in pounds sterling and are what you pay. Delivery is shown separately and added before you commit, never afterwards.
Hana Blossom is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and no VAT appears on your receipt.
If a price on the site is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have realised it, we do not have to sell at that price. We will tell you before we do anything and you can cancel for a full refund.
What you will get
Every bouquet is tied by hand from what was good at the market that morning. That is the point of it, and it has a consequence: the individual stems can differ from a photograph. What will not change is the size you chose, the palette you chose, and the care it is made with. We never substitute down in value. If a flower you specifically asked for is not available, we will tell you rather than quietly swap it.
Delivery
We deliver in Epsom. Orders placed before 5pm are made for the next available delivery day. After 5pm they move to the day after. We do not offer same-day delivery, and we say so rather than taking the order and disappointing you.
If nobody is in, we leave the flowers where you have told us to, or with a neighbour. If we have no safe instruction and cannot deliver, we will contact you to arrange another day. A second attempt caused by a wrong address may be charged.
Full details are on the delivery policy page.
Cancelling and your right to change your mind
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you usually have fourteen days to change your mind about something bought online.
That right does not apply to fresh flowers. The Regulations exclude goods that deteriorate or expire rapidly, and cut flowers are the textbook example. It also does not apply to anything made to your specification, which covers bespoke stationery and wedding work once we have begun.
What you can do instead: ring or email us before we have bought the flowers for your order and we will cancel it and refund you in full. In practice that means at least one full working day before the delivery date. After that the flowers exist and are yours.
Gift cards, sample packs and anything not perishable do carry the full fourteen-day right. Subscriptions have their own terms on the subscription terms page.
If something is wrong
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything on this page. Flowers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they arrive and they are not, tell us within two days with a photograph and we will replace them or refund you. Details are on the refunds page.
Weddings, events and stationery
These are not bought through the shop. They start with an enquiry, we send a written proposal, and the terms of that work live in the agreement you sign, including the payment schedule and what happens if a date moves. Nothing on this page replaces that agreement.
What we are responsible for
If we get it wrong, we are responsible for loss you could reasonably have expected to follow. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, since this site sells to consumers.
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing here takes away your statutory rights.
Things outside anyone’s control
Snow, floods, a market that did not open. If something genuinely beyond our control stops us delivering on the day, we will contact you, agree a new date, or refund you in full. We will not simply not turn up.
Complaints
Email us. One person reads everything and you will get a real answer. If we cannot resolve it between us you can take the matter to court, and these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
